Welcome

The Vulpine Spitz project is a mixed breeding project founded by Cyril Cherniak.

Pertaining to its name, the breed would ideally be between 15 to 30 pounds, and have a wild-type fox-like or coyote-like appearance. It aims for a small, spitz type dog with the flexibility of a companion canine suitable for most modern-day families; a spitz companion with the iconic sassy yet happy-go-lucky personality, but with added biddability. Additional traits that are desirable are “bombproof” dogs who are confident in any environment, friendliness to humans/dogs/cats, the lack of resource guarding and SSA (Same Sex Aggression), and relative ease of being trained, with a medium-low to low energy level.
